Circle Cutter

How to use it
  1. Remove the circle cutter from its packaging and remove any protective tape or covering.
  2. Place your paper or photo onto the cutting surface. You must use the circle cutter on a glass cutting surface or a self healing mat.
  3. Position the base of the circle cutter where you want the center of your circle to be. Sometimes it helps if you center the circle on the subject of the photo, if there is only one object in the photo.
  4. Adjust the blade of the circle cutter by loosening the screw located on the cutting arm. Tighten the screw when the circle is the size you want it to be. You can test for size by picking up the cutting arm and placing it down on the photo at intervals to see what will be included in the circle and what will be  cut out of the circle. A circle template might also help you determine the exact size of circle you want.
  5. When you are satisfied that you have the circle cutter in the right location, place the palm of your hand FIRMLY over the top of the circle cutter.
  6. Turn the cutting arm 360 degrees with a good amount of pressure to cut the circle. If you are uncertain if you used enough pressure, be sure to continue on to make a second round BEFORE you lift the circle cutter.

Do not try to use the blade "backwards" it will only cut in one direction. Always make the circle "too big" if you are unsure about size... if you decide to re-cut a circle to make it smaller, move the cutting blade without lifting the base and re-cut your circle to a smaller size.
